Focus Point: The Wynwood Walls
With over 50 artists, representing 16 countries, that have covered 80 000 square feet of walls. Wynwood walls are a must see destination for all international travelers and graffiti enthusiasts and urban art lovers. This place is very unique and not to be seen anywhere else in the United States. This site is commonly used for variety of photoshoots.
Wynwood, also referred as Little San Juan has two major districts. Wynwood Art Disrtict is located in northern part of the area and Wynwood Fashion District is spread out along West 5th Avenue. Walking around Wynwood, you’ll find many Puerto Rican owned restaurants, markets and shops. Puerto Ricans used to migrate to the area in 1950’s and their heritage is present up until now.
Art District contains around 70 different galleries, museums and art collections and is home to Wynwood Walls, project, what originally started as a small showcase of street art and nowadays it is considered a major Miami area attraction.
Fashion District is way smaller and it’s epicenter is around Northwest Fifth Avenue, where you can find many of major clothing retailers and distributors.
