Only 45 km south of the Miami, there is a small welcoming town with family owned restaurants and shops, Homestead. Devastated by hurricane Andrew in 2002, the city made a great building boom since then.

Surroundings of the town are mostly agricultural, with orchards everywhere yo go. This town is a must see on the way to Florida Keys, which are just south of here.

Homestead is also home of the Miami Speedway, where the last race of the NASCAR series is held every year.
